Christmas 2009

So Christmas has come and now it is gone for another year and I am so bummed. I love Christmas, it makes me happy, a little overwhelmed but happy. This year was another fun one. We enjoyed good company, good parties and definately good food and lots of it. There are quite a few pics of the festivities. Christmas Eve was at mom's this year and again more food, and tons of fun. We implemented skits this year instead of white elephant gifts and it was so cute. Todd and Chris in their "Sisters" act, Walker Bax and Bub with their version of the Chipmunks, the Williams crew sang a wonderful rendition of "Rudolph the red nose reindeer" and more songs by Davis' and Burtons'. You might say what did the Ross' do??? Well ask Josh why we didn't do one. I had a fun thing planned but it never was practiced so we pulled out but Kenna did sing a cute song. Oh and let's not forget that Grammy Roche sang a song accompanied by Sher. Then it was on to traditional Christmas Eve pj's. We missed Amber and Emmy so much at this time. We'll have to photo shop them into the pics.
Christmas morning was a lot of fun. Boston and Griff slept in and we made Kennedy wait for them. I think she peeked before she came upstairs. The kids were so excited that the cookies and milk were gone and that Santa left a note. Kennedy is really the one who gets most excited for this. Griff just wanted the candy and Boston just wanted more. We read about the birth of our Savior and enjoyed some croissant and oj, well I enjoyed the croissants and found out that none of my children will eat them. STrange ones I tell you.
I don't have pictures of this one but I have to mention it, that Dave came and stayed with us for a week and we had lots of fun baking and making candy. I am still not sure whether to count the candy as success or failure, but at least we tried.
We never did make it down to Temple Square, due to weather! I don't think I have pics of that either! What is wrong with me. We had a ton of snow in Dec. It kept us home during a very important event in AF with the Epperson's and we almost didn't get home on Christmas day! But nonetheless we made it and kids have had fun playing in it. Dave and Audrey had to leave early because of the weather but they came back to Logan the day after Christmas. Once again it was wonderful for them to come and we had a great time.
Our Christmas program at Church was wonderful too. I have to mention that because the it was all music and it was beautiful. We have alot of talent in our ward, I am hoping that some of the music talent will rub off on me???? I may be a lost cause, but I'll try.
Again this post is a little skitzo but oh well. We had a wonderful Christmas and are already looking forward to next year!

I am glad to see that everything went well for Christmas. It looks like you painted in the living room, is that right? I love your tree. How fun to have a tall tree. Grif is looking too old. We missed you guys, but know it was for the best. Hope to see you all soon!!

What a fun idea with the skits!!! Sorry you didn't get to do yours though. I'm sure the candy you and Dave, made was fantastic!!! you are such a good baker, I don't know why you worry. I agree about the Christmas program, Susanna's song had me just balling, and the Stephenson's are both so talented, how fun would it be to be able to do songs with your hubby (I'll never know)?
You are such a great friend, thanks for keeping me in your circle ;)
